Long time, all nothing, huh?
Well boys & girls, that's just how it seems. Lots of good stuff has been goin' on in camp Sicknote durin' past six(?) months.
First: the new line-up is on, rockin', kickin, boozin' & spittin'. Hallelujah for that!
Second: the new line-up has been already recorded! Get on your knees, baby! Yes, five tunes from past ten years(?) has got new, fresh & extremely rockin' treatment from the hairy and strong hand of rock'n roll men. Better watch out & stay tuned, especially 'cause we got a nice cover surprise for all your drunken & rhythm and bluesy needs. So get ready to justify, oh yeah!
Third: and this is not least, you can count on that our friends. Some gigs are coming, just check 'em from the live section because big words just ain't gonna make it. You gotta be there.

Just a few informational lines. Antti Kauppila and Aki Karppinen have left Camp Sicknote. Might be that they got lost in the desert. Also might be that they lost their scalps for personal reasons, who knows. All we know is that the patrol must go on and Rock has to Roll.

Alright,
A little bit of update every now and then, right? As some have noticed, release of the new album has been postponed to near future, no dates yet because the schedule hasn't been confirmed. You know. We're still mixing, hopeful to get done with it during November. The album will be called DEADBEAT WAY and contains 12 new Sicktunes. Promopics have been taken and we raise our glasses to Ilkka Mikkonen and Sami Kukkonen for that. Cheers, Friends! Cover design and layout will be done by TG Rantanen, and let us assure you: it's gonna be cooler than ice. Check TG's myspace profile. So far, so good, ha?

Sicknote will appear on Black Gold 2 -compilation in the near future, check details from here.
To the forthcoming still untitled album: We decided to postpone the release until the end of October simply because we don't want to spoil a great thing with rushing. We're almost there with recordings but couple of visitors are still missing simply because of their schedules, so we have to wait. Also we want to take our time with the mixing this time to get the best possible result ever! Take that! And mastering will be done out from studio23 to get another point of view to what we've done. You got to get your head out of your ass every now and then right?
Anyway and still there's something actually happening. Netsingle has been chosen and it will be released here at sicknote1.com on Friday, September 14th. The song is called 'Lies Between' which some of you might have dashed against at myspace. Well, that raw demo version has little to do with actual thing which has guest female vocals and all. All Hail Maya for all of that female balls she brought to our recordings! Love you, Babe!
So keep at it and please keep your clothes on, it's getting cold faster than you can imagine, you drunken bubbles of joy! And try to find your underwear. We still recommend to check out the fridge. Cheers!

It's been a while, ha?
Anyway, recordings for the new album are proceeding. Trip to Hailuoto back in February was more than fertile but unfortunately (or luckily) we didn't get finished. So we got to arrange another session. Then we'll heat the sauna and have a couple of beers. And then we'll arrange yet another session 'cause there gonna be some guests on our newborn. A lot of shit to do, but we're expected to be ready for mixing & mastering by August. Result will be out in September by Verikauha Records. Now how cool is that?
Remember the liquid balance, it might get hot out there. Cheers!

Hello,
Hope that life's been treating you nicely. Update for studio plans. We'll pack up the gear and head to Hailuoto (an island nearby Oulu) on March 2nd, intending to record about 15 songs for new Sicknote album. Here are the songs so far:

The place where we're about to do recordings is an old family summer house, in the region of Hailuoto. This particular house is famous for the fact that some people have hung themselves there in the past... Hmmm? Let's see what the spirit of Hailuoto has to offer for this session. We'll keep you updated daily, of course, as we go on.

Pleased to catch up with you. As you see there's some changes done to the structure of the site to make your visiting more enjoyable. Once again if you find something wrong, bravely drop a line to our webmaster. He will kick you back in line.
Ok, now something about itself. Demo sessions are done. We recorded nine songs from which we completed six:

During the end of the year, three of these killers will be packed as a promotional cd to send over in search of co-operative instances to work in consideration with the new album. If YOU think you're presenting one/many of these instances, leave your contact here and make sure you get your copy. And the rest of you: as promised, one of the songs mentioned above will be released here, on this very site in December 24th. Which one, we dunno yet, but by keep on visiting you'll know. That's about it.

Greetings from studio23, where we've been working on demos for forthcoming album pretty f***ing much lately. Here's couple of titles under concentration:

And as you may imagine they're sounding terrificly rockin' already. Of course you, our friends, have the privilege to hear samples of some of those new songs here on this very site, so another reason to keep on visiting every now and then ok? Don't tell your friends though...Huh? And for the hilarious(?) end, here's a little liver-exercise for everybody at the end of this hot and definitely devastating summer: Open a nice cold bottle of beer (yes, another, again). Now listen carefully... Do you hear some weird squeezing sound around the right side of your belly? If you don't, drink the beer. If you do, drink it anyway because you probably f***ing need it. There you go...

Shape it up Boys and Girls,
Spring is here. Or is it summer already? Whatever, you know what that does for Finnish drinkin' manners. If you don't, here's a hint: things usually get a bit out of hand, which is of course good if you want some rockin' and rollin'. Simple people as we are, that's all we ask from life. Amen. It's been peaceful (if you can say so) in camp SICKNOTE since the last update. There's been lots of working on new songs and plans to do some demoing during the summer have been made. Great shit. Also new guitarist to Replace Mr Kinnunen is been hired, introduction will follow asap. What else... oh, a licence deal for the Russian release of 'RUDENIA' with CD-MAXIMUM is finally signed, so rough tunes with a manly attitude for listening (drinking?) pleasures for all you Russian headbangers is on its very way. In September if we heard right. That's about it. Remember the rehearsal image...? Pop.

So finally the site with a new design has been launched. How great is that? Hips and hoorays to Anja for all the good work in that area. It's been so cool lately that it is hard to remember, but let's give it a shot...: Some new promopics by Vesa Ranta at the gallery section. Don't forget to check'em out. Russian release of 'RUDENIA' on its way. Take it or believe it, some details will follow. The rehearsals for the new SICKNOTE album are running like a bunch of wild horses. To celebrate that here's a little rehearsal image for all of you: Picture a nice cold bottle of beer in your hand. If you're under aged make it a bottle of lemonade, we don't want to piss off our parents, now do we? Of course we do. Good. Now concentrate... Can you hear the sound as the cap pops?
